The New River Valley Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association will be hosting the 9th annual Wine Festival at Virginia Tech on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from noon – 5 pm, rain or shine.
The festival will feature local wineries including White Barrel, Mountain Rose, Stanburn Winery, and Old Hill Cider. Food and specialty items from local vendors will also be available. The event will be held on the grounds of the Holtzman Alumni Center, adjacent to the Inn at Virginia Tech.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. A $5 non-wine tasting pass is available, and those under 18 years of age are admitted free.
Reserving a table is a great, convenient way to guarantee a space. A table reservation includes eight tickets and chairs located in a grassy area under a tent. A complementary gift basket full of special goodies is also included, all for just $300.
The Wine Festival at Virginia Tech offers the opportunity to enjoy the festivities while helping the local community. Each year we award scholarships to high school seniors in the area who will attend Virginia Tech in the fall, including transfer students. Since 1990, the chapter has provided support to almost 220 students and awarded almost $175,000 in scholarships.
